Over the course of my final fall semester, I was struggling with a new diagnosis and new medication. To counter feelings of grief, confusion, and loneliness, I put out two jars on the counter in our studio lobby: one filled with folded, paper stars and the other empty. Beneath it, I wrote "In need of good memories. Will trade you one (1) star for them. (Please)" in permanent marker on a piece of scrap cardboard. In the month and a half that it was installed, I received over 50 happy memories. Existing now as an archive, they serve to remind us of the fragments of life worth living for.

[Artist's Note: I have elected not to display some of the notes with people mentioned by name for privacy reasons. If you recognize yourself in these notes and are uncomfortable for any reason, please send me an email and I will remove it as swiftly as possible.]
